The “The Apprentice” campaign by Vanksen has several objectives:
- To notify LifeLock customers that LifeLock will be featured in the next episode of “The Celebrity Apprentice”.
- To invite LifeLock subscribers to participate in a contest with a trip to New York and a meeting with Donald Trump himself as the prize.
- To increase LifeLock’s exposure and find new customers
Vanksen has put into place a very surprising and innovative viral mechanism to meet the goals; a personalized video. One receives an e-mail from a friend saying that they saw you in the newspaper as the winner of the “The Apprentice” contest. After clicking on the link, you are redirected to a video in which you are made the star. We’ll let you see for yourself…
At the end of the video, you can yourself trick your own friends. This type of video has enormous viral potential, as it allows for personalization of the video. Through this customization people feel that they can participate in shaping the media before sending it on to their friends. Both this and the fact that they have already received the video from a friend ensure that this experience is not likely to be forgotten. Additionally, it allows LifeLock to increase its customer base in a non-intrusive, discreet way, all the while creating a relationship with them.

Last Sunday was an explosive episode of the Celebrity Apprentice. After having a blowout with Donald Trump, Anne Duke, and Brande Roderickin defense of her performance on the Right Guard task, Melissa Rivers was finally sent home. She was so furious after the boardroom attackthat she skipped her exit interview and marched out. Now that the dust has settled, see what Melissa has to say about all of this…

Melissa recently sat down with Fancast to do a candid interview about her time on the Celebrity Apprentice. When asked if she could sense trouble during last week’s challenge, Melissa said, “Well, the problems had started two episodes ago with the fashion show. Until then, Annie had been constantly pulling me aside and telling me how much we had to get rid of Brande, that Brande was dead weight, blah, blah, blah. Then suddenly she became best friends with Brande. So I knew what was going on.”
What else didn’t we see that led up to thishuge blowout?“You don’t see the constant phone calls between Annie and Brande with them laughing and giggling in the corner. You don’t see them whispering. You don’t see – you don’t see everything falling out of the van and those two walking ahead and me in my walking cast, picking everything up out of the street and carrying it upstairs. You don’t see a lot of what they – how they behaved. There is just simply no time to show all that. But they were the mean girls. It was back to the worst of high school,” she told Fancast.
Do you feel that you were portrayed unfairly?Melissa responded, “Not unfairly. As I said, they just didn’t show the two of them constantly on the phone, whispering and talking, driving me crazy and being mean, and that’s fine. There’s only so much time and only so much you can show.” “Annie is a poker player, and Annie played to win. Do I think that she is ruthless and crossed a lot of lines? Yeah, I do. And Brande, I expected more from her as a person. Calling me emotionally unstable. Give me a break,” she continues.
What was the breaking point for you? “I kept it together in the board room. My breaking point was when I walked out of the board room, and that’s when I lost it. I’m not going to say that I’m proud of my behavior when I left the board room, but it’s everything I ever wanted to say, and I feel like I said it for all the girls who have been maligned by the cliquey girls their entire lives. Whether it be in high school or the sorority girls or the country club or wherever,” she commented.
So what do you think of the Donald? “I think Donald is very, very smart and very, very savvy. And he runs those board rooms to get exactly what he wants. And what, you know, he knows what he’s doing and that’s why he’s Donald Trump.”
You can see the rest of the interview at Fancast.

1300269660 33 Photos: Las Vegas parties for new ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ cast
Thursday, March 10, 2011 | 2:11 p.m.
It was a take-no-prisoners premiere and a take-no-prisoners screening for four of the cast of Donald Trump’s new season of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. The Real Housewives of Atlanta firebrand NeNe Leakes wasn’t shy about blasting Star Jones. Gary Busey wasn’t shy about taking to a pole at Surrender at Steve Wynn’s Encore. 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk wasn’t shy about showing her skills as the driver of a hijacked limo. and DJ and rapper Lil Jon wasn’t shy about throwing himself at two girls who caught him spread-eagled!
It was that kind of a fun 48 hours that kicked off the high-rated debut episode. The women celebrated their team’s victory over the men, with May 7 Orleans headliner David Cassidy kicked off with The Donald’s trademark “You’re fired!” in the premiere. Contributing photographers Erik Kabik, Scott Harrison, Brian Steffy, Danny Mahoney and David Becker kept pace with the fab four, as they partied at Surrender, XS at the Encore and Blush at the Wynn, and provided VegasDeLuxe.com with this incredible photo gallery.
Lil Jon also is the resident DJ at Surrender, so he took time out from partying to twist his turntables for partygoers and hosted the girls at Blush for the live viewing. Rapper Flavor Flav stopped by to join in the celebrations. Flav told me: “I’m here to support my friend Lil Jon. I look at what he did on the TV show and admire him. I told him so long as he’s having fun, it’s OK, but when it ceases to be fun, it’s time for him to get out. I’d have the same philosophy if I had to face Mr. Trump.”
Originally, the Wynn nightclubs also were going to play host to two other Apprentice stars: scandal-plagued former MLB star Jose Canseco and dominating Richard Hatch from the first season of Survivor. I was reliably informed that Jose canceled due to his father’s death and that Richard was not allowed to travel outside California despite lawyers protesting his ankle bracelet. “Las Vegas was the last place authorities would let him go,” I was told.
Gorgeous Hope and sassy NeNe danced up a storm during commercial breaks and then broke out magnums of champagne when the women’s team won. but it was Gary’s turn on the stripper’s pole that had fans in hysterics and their cameras at the ready. he didn’t seem to mind that his pants nearly fell off while he kept a cigar going all night long as he gyrated at Surrender.
NeNe talked candidly with me about the onscreen feud with former The View co-host Star. “I let her stuff go at first. I just let her things happen and go on happening. Then I exploded — I just couldn’t take her anymore. She may well have gone to school for 100 years and I only went for two years. I could have saved her 98 years because I’m smarter than she’ll ever be,” she said. “I’m certainly not frightened by her or intimidated by anybody else. I don’t mind that they showed our fight because it was the truth. anybody with respect for themselves would have stood up for themselves like I did.
“I’m tough enough to take anything. I’m not good at forming alliances because I can stand on my own two feet. I went into this to show I can think and that I have business savvy with a real want to win it. ”
I asked NeNe if she was quitting Real Housewives to move on to bigger showbiz opportunities. “There’s a lot of really good things happening for me on my own. I might have lost my privacy because of Real Housewives, but I’ve got an attitude that wants to go out and win and show other women we can’t be trodden over. We’re going to show that to women.
“Everything is going really good, and although Celebrity Apprentice was very hard work and long hours, people now get to see me in two different ways. It’s all going to lead to something special. you certainly haven’t heard the last of me.”
Hope, who will return to Las Vegas on May 6 for the crowning of her successor at the Palms, told me: “It was a good experience, but oh so tough. it wasn’t easy living between Gary Busey and Niki Taylor while we were staying at the Trump Tower in new York for the filming. (Niki was one of last year’s judges with Bret Michaels for Donald’s miss Universe Pageant at Mandalay Bay.)
“It’s the hardest and longest I’ve ever worked, but so good to be playing for charity. I’m really happy we were able to come do the premiere here at the Wynn because it was Steve Wynn who introduced me to Donald Trump, which led to his producers contacting me, testing me and then signing me for the show.
“I survived the first week on the winning women’s team, and I’d never cooked in my life before. We raised an incredible amount of money for charity, I think just by being nice, which is what I’m all about. I’m not going to cause fights or get in the middle of them.”
Hope did admit to her mischievous side. She confessed that she was the leader of the cast partying here in the dawn hours after the Surrender and XS festivities. “I thought it would be fun before the sun came up to take a limo and go check out Mr. Trump’s tower here,” she laughed.
“I didn’t quite realize we could have walked it — it’s that close. no wonder the limo driver wouldn’t take us. So I told her I’d drive if she didn’t want to. She said sure, not really believing I was serious. Everybody else piled in, and I got behind the wheel, and at the last minute, she jumped in the front passenger seat.
“Of course Mr. Trump’s building is less than two blocks away, so we didn’t go very far with me trying out for a chauffeur role! but once we’d seen it and we’d felt like home again, we let her drive us back to the Wynn.”
Episode 2 of Celebrity Apprentice airs Sunday, and all I’ve been able to pry out from new York headquarters is that there’s another battle between the guys and the girls, and one unexpected lady finds herself on The Donald’s firing line.

"Celebrity Apprentice" Heavyweight Diva Duel: Float Like a Butterfly, Sting Like a Beeyotch

celebrity-apprentice-09-top.jpg

Cain vs. Abel. Frasier vs. Ali. And now, in this corner, another duel for the ages: Joan Rivers vs. Annie Duke.
NBC's Celebrity Apprentice has been providing some of the most jaw-dropping television of the season. And, I'm happy to say, it's not over yet. Last week was the best, most riveting, most unbelievable episode of Donald Trump's TV show ever broadcast -- and the two main combatants, comedienne Rivers and poker champion Duke, both survived to fight another day...
This season of Celebrity Apprentice (Sundays at 9 p.m. ET) started with larger-than-life characters being eliminated quickly: Tom Green for being too goofy, Dennis Rodman for being too inebriated and surly, Andrew Dice Clay for being too... Andrew Dice Clay. But those were undercards to this season's championship bout.
celebrity-apprentice-09-boa.jpg "I'm going to crush you, Joan," Annie Duke informed her rival, when the two of them agreed to be project managers of their respective teams on a charity auction task. Nice talk. But it was said with a smile. And in any event, it was a lot nicer than when Rivers, in the boardroom after her loss, compared Duke to Adolf Hitler. Really.
"She does seem nice to me," Trump said of Duke, after hearing Rivers toss some insults her way.
"So does Hitler at Buchenwald," Rivers shoots back.
celebrty-apprentice-09-ivan.jpg celebrity-apprentice-piers-.jpg
It was such a stunner that both of Trump's boardroom lieutenants last week -- former Celebrity Apprentice winner Piers Morgan and Trump's daughter, Ivanka -- reacted with stunned double-takes. "Hitler?" Morgan asked. "Have you ever been compared to Hitler before?" Ivanka asked Duke.
celebrity-apprentice-09-mel.jpg Morgan was equally thrown by Melissa Rivers' constant defense of her mother's actions and comments, and criticisms of Duke, even though the younger Rivers was on Duke's team. "I find this dynamic fascinating," Morgan admitted, challenging Melissa Rivers' conduct. "You would speak up and knife your leader to suck up to your mum."
Morgan was right on the money questioning that dynamic. So was Ivanka Trump, who has matured, since first coming aboard as one of her father's TV lieutenants, into a very poised and precise presence on the show. When she asked Joan Rivers about her feelings if Joan outlasts her own daughter on the show, Joan said it would be okay, so long as Melissa lost fairly rather than being thrown under a bus.
celebrity-apprentice-09-joa.jpg "If I were thrown under the bus," Ivanka replied with a cool, knowing smile, "my father would be disappointed in me for allowing myself to get in the way of that bus."
Great stuff. This far into the game, there are two official teams (KOTU, with Joan Rivers and Clint Black, and Athena, with Annie Duke, Melissa Rivers, former Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick and Jesse James). There's also a third, unofficial team: the Rivers running through it.
celebrity-apprentice-09-tru.jpg Donald Trump's firing decisions, while seeming capricious on occasion, always make sense in the larger picture. And because he IS in charge, I have little doubt of this season's outcome. When you have competitors as naturally vehement towards one another as Joan Rivers and Annie Duke have grown to be, they almost have to reach the final. Otherwise, any other climax would be more of an anti-climax.
But if it goes to a Duke vs. Rivers title card, what an ending that will be, and what a ride until then. "She's a crazy bitch," Annie Duke said of Rivers afterward. And Rivers, on her own Twitter mini-blog, posted the following: "I just compared Annie to Hitler and I feel terrible. My apologies to Hitler."
Melissa Rivers, who should have gone home weeks ago, eventually will be fired, which should make for two levels of drama. And if the final task mirrors the celebrity auction, where Duke's wealthy friends flew in to support her while Rivers saved her team's presentation but raised little money, this contest could well get down to, instead of how many people you know, how many friends you have.
celebrity-apprentice-09-Ann.jpg For the record: My money's on Annie Duke -- to go all the way, and to win this thing, deservedly. She's come off as smart, determined and charming. Both generations of Rivers, by contrast, bring to mind three very different adjectives: stubborn, abrasive and co-dependent.
Also for the record: Donald Trump, with this season of Celebrity Apprentice, already is in the winner's circle. And why not? His show is better than ever, and his daughter radiates beauty and intelligence in equal proportions.

Hooray for your comments on Ivanka Trump. Whatever issues Donald and Ivana had, they certainly raised three lovely, grounded, responsible children into adulthood.
Unlike the Paris Hiltons and Kim Kardashians of this world, the Trump kids actually got wonderful educations and work for a living. Paris & Kim are famous for exactly what? Sex videos?
Ivanka is just lovely, and conducts herself as a lady; her parents must be so proud of her. She's a great presence on the show, and is wise beyond her years. She's a real keeper.
